I’m far from the classic, quiet therapist. Known for my chattier demeanour, I like to help my clients discover the deeper meaning of why we do what we do so they can actually change their life. I like to get to the root of the problem and assist clients in finding develop tangible tools that work for them so they can easily apply them in everyday life. If you’re looking for a therapist who isn't just going to sit there and nod their head, then we will likely be a great fit!
Trauma isn't just the big scary stuff that happens to us; it's also the things didn't happen and the things that happened all the time. I combine techniques from EMDR with practical tools to help you overcome what's holding you back. Not quite ready to jump into EMDR? I've got you covered! Identifying patterns through psycho-education, journal prompts, practicing ground techniques and meditation are all fantastic tools as well.
Both intuitive and nerdy, I spend a lot of my time reading and researching for my clients so they don't have to. Who wants to spend their weekend reading an 85-page research essay? Only a few people will likely raise their hand to that question. I do the heavy-lifting by breaking down content into bite-sized pieces, so that you don't have to!

Counselling for imminent situations is important, but in order to move past repetitive patterns, we have to figure out how they came to be. I start with a comprehensive history taking so I learn the ins and outs of your life. This helps us to be compassionate with ourselves and others.
